§ 1. Preamble & Academic Purview
These provisions establish the regulatory framework governing access to and utilization of the Verdict Voices Law Journal. By navigating this digital repository, scholars, practitioners, and students acknowledge that their use of all academic materials is strictly subject to the stipulations contained herein. These Terms constitute a formal agreement between the user and the Journal’s Editorial Board. Continued engagement with our publications confirms an adherence to our professional protocols. Please note that all content is provided for scholarly inquiry and does not represent formal legal advice.

§ 2. Intellectual Property & Citation Ethics
2.1 Title and Ownership. Ownership of all editorial content, journal manuscripts, and scholarly treatises remains vested in Verdict Voices and its contributing authors, protected under 17 U.S.C. §§ 101–1332. 2.2 Limited Grant of License. Users are hereby granted a personal, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to access these materials solely for private research or pedagogical purposes. 2.3 Citation and Attribution Requirements. Any reference to, or excerpt from, the works contained herein must be accompanied by a full citation complying with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (Columbia Law Review Ass’n et al. eds., 21st ed. 2020). 2.4 Prohibited Conduct. Systematic reproduction, redistribution, or data mining of literary assets without express written consent constitutes an actionable infringement of copyright.
§ 3. Applicable Law and Venue Choice
Generally speaking, T&C often address these types of issues: Who is allowed to use the website; the possible payment methods; a declaration that the website owner may change his or her offering in the future; the types of warranties the website owner gives his or her customers; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the website owner’s right to suspend or cancel a member’s account; and much, much more.
