Submission Standards & Comprehensive Author Guidelines

I. Scope and Manuscript Types: Verdict Voices Law Journal (VVLJ) invites high-quality legal scholarship that offers original contributions to national and international legal discourse. We accept Long Articles (8,000–10,000 words) for in-depth analysis, Short Articles (4,000–6,000 words) for focused thematic explorations, Case Comments (2,000–3,000 words) analyzing landmark judgments, and Book Reviews (1,500–2,500 words) of significant legal literature.

II. Formatting and Citation Style: All submissions must follow a uniform format. Manuscripts should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. Verdict Voices strictly adheres to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st Edition). Footnotes should be in Font Size 10 with single spacing. Speaking footnotes are permitted but should be used sparingly to maintain the flow of the primary argument.

III. Word Limits and Abstract: The word limits mentioned are inclusive of footnotes. Every article must be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 300 words and 5–7 keywords. The abstract should clearly state the research question, methodology, and central findings of the paper.

IV. Submission Process: Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format via our online submission portal or emailed to law.verdictvoices@gmail.com. The file name should be the title of the paper. A separate cover letter must include the author's name, affiliation, contact details, and a declaration of originality.

V. Peer Review Process: VVLJ follows a Double-Blind Peer Review system. To ensure anonymity, the manuscript itself must not contain any information identifying the author. Submissions are first screened for scope and plagiarism before being sent to independent subject-matter experts. The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks.

VI. Publication Ethics and Plagiarism: Intellectual honesty is paramount. VVLJ maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. We utilize industry-standard software to verify original content. Any submission found to exceed a 10% similarity index (excluding citations) or containing fraudulent data will be summarily rejected.

VII. Copyright and Open Access: Upon acceptance, authors are required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement. VVLJ retains the copyright of all published work, while granting authors the right to use their articles for non-commercial educational purposes. The journal is committed to Open Access to promote global legal scholarship.

Authors are requested to download the Copyright Form, duly complete and sign it, and upload the signed copy to proceed with publication.
